Nestled on the side of Hawaii's Most Active Volcano, this Hawaiian vacation home is conveniently located for exploring the Big Island. Featuring many unique touches, Joshua of Knonada Designs created the space with the goal of bringing the beauty of Kilauea and the Hawaiian Rainforest into the home. Check out more of his artwork at:
Joshua not only designed and built the house; he also fabricated all the cabinets and fixtures. Hand building most of the furniture as well as creating a large portion of the artwork throughout the home, you can relax and immerse yourself in this Unique Artistic Space.
Enjoy sleeping on Queen beds in either of the locally inspired bedrooms. The Mauna Kea bedroom with it's subtle and subdued tones of one of the worlds tallest mountains OR the Kilauea bedroom and it's Volcano themed vibrant colors.

A "Pack n Play" crib is available for the little one.
Prepare your meals in a Volcano inspired kitchen. Fire treated upcycled pallet wood cabinets and hand made counter tops that reflect the beauty of the Kilauea Caldera. Stocked with everything you need to make home cooked meals for your Ohana. (Pots, Pans, Dishes, Silverware and Utensils, Spices, Condiments, Coffee, Tea and much more)

Prepare your meals in a Volcano inspired kitchen. Fire treated upcycled pallet wood cabinets and hand made counter tops that reflect the beauty of the Kilauea Caldera. Stocked with everything you need to make home cooked meals for your Ohana. (Pots, Pans, Dishes, Silverware and Utensils, Spices, Condiments, Coffee, Tea and much more)
Delicious water and ice that has been filtered 4 times and run through a U. V. Light are available on the refrigerator door as well as an additional faucet at the kitchen sink.
Experience the custom shower with a, nearly, 20" rainfall shower head while standing on hand laid smooth river rock. The bathroom is completely handmade and features a custom nook with an original turtle mosaic, lava rock sink and river rock details throughout.
Or, enjoy the views of nature while unwinding in your own private outdoor shower.
There is also a second half bath conveniently located in the carport.
Relax and have a Mai Tai on the large Lanai (Patio) while soaking in the view of the stars and Virgin Rainforest.
On a clear night, the Milky Way clearly visible... Absolutely Amazing!!

Solar electricity with automatic backup generator. Water is provided by collecting the Rainwater,stored in a sealed system and finally filtering it for optimum quality . Hot water and cooking is provided by Propane.

Don't worry about being completely disconnected, the Cell Phone signal is good. We are able to make calls and text, check emails, social media, search Google, listen to Pandora and even stream YouTube.
